Job summary

microTECH Global Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned Satellite Assembly & Test Engineer to lead integration, testing, and QA across the spacecraft stack.

You will develop test plans, validate performance, troubleshoot issues, and document results. This hands-on role requires working in clean rooms, using CAD tools, environmental chambers, and test equipment to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in aerospace or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in satellite assembly, integration and testing.
• Solid understanding of satellite programs across the full project lifecycle.
• Proficiency in conducting a wide range of satellite tests (thermal, vibration, mechanical, functional).
• Familiarity with CAD tools and electrical/test equipment used in assembly and testing.
• Strong QA principles and experience implementing QA in aerospace or regulated industries.
• Willingness to work hands-on in clean-room environments with specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Satellite Assembly: assemble satellite components meeting specs.
• Integration Management: manage integration of subsystems ensuring cohesive operation.
• Testing and Validation: develop and execute functional, environmental, thermal, mechanical, and vibration tests.
• Test Procedure Development: create test and verification plans for development stages.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: diagnose and resolve issues during integration and testing.
• Documentation: maintain detailed records of assembly, integration and testing processes.
• Quality Assurance: uphold QA protocols to ensure safety and performance before launch.
• Spacecraft Operations Support: assist spacecraft operations and mission delivery.
