Job summary

Ragdale Hall Spa is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function of our prestigious estate. You will oversee maintenance, engineering, refurbishment and compliance activities across the estate, managing a twelve-strong team and coordinating with senior managers.

Reporting to the Property & Projects Manager, you will drive energy efficiency, manage budgets and ensure safety and high guest experience standards.

Qualifications

• Has proven maintenance or facilities management leadership experience.
• Possesses strong technical knowledge across building services and maintenance operations.
• Is confident managing contractors, projects and compliance requirements.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational management.
• Is passionate about delivering high standards and continuous improvement.
• Shares our commitment to exceptional guest and colleague experiences.
• Has previous experience of managing a CAFM system, and knowledge of planned, preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Previous experience of a hospitality environment would be advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a maintenance team of twelve.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Oversee site compliance, including fire, water and electrical safety.
• Manage contractors, service agreements and refurbishment projects.
• Control departmental budgets and purchasing activities.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance work is delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests and colleagues.
• Work closely with department heads and senior managers to support the operational needs of the business.
