Job summary

BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to drive new business across the South of England in heavy industrial markets.

You will promote compressed air and nitrogen generation solutions while visiting sites, meeting engineers and procurement teams, and building long-term relationships. You'll spend days on the road, with national travel for larger projects, and benefit from full training, a defined commission scheme and a company car or car allowance.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B technical field sales experience within an industrial environment.
• Experience selling valves, pumps, compressors, rotating equipment or similar capital equipment industrial solutions.
• Confident communicating with engineers, plant managers and other technical decision-makers.
• A structured approach to sales, including CRM management, pipeline development and consultative selling.
• A new business mindset, with the motivation to develop a territory and build long-term customer relationships.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across the south of the UK, with possible travel nationally for bigger projects.
• Sell a range of compressed air, nitrogen generation and associated industrial equipment to customers in construction, manufacturing, marine, mining and heavy industry.
• Spend ~80% of time winning new business and the remainder maintaining an established portfolio of long-standing accounts.
• Conduct regular site visits, customer meetings and discussions with engineers, plant managers and procurement professionals.
• Spend four days per week on the road and attend trade shows and industry events when required.
