Job summary

OPTEX is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales across the South of the UK, working with installers, integrators and end users to grow adoption of intrusion detection and sensing solutions. You will act as a trusted partner, driving new opportunities and expanding the customer base through a consultative, technically informed approach.

You will inherit an established base while proactively developing new business, managing key accounts, and delivering project-focused sales across

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales within security or technical products is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage key account relationships.
• Comfort with a consultative sales approach across multiple stakeholder levels.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of the South of the UK and implement a structured territory sales plan.
• Develop and retain relationships with installers, integrators, distributors and other channel partners.
• Identify and secure new customers across the electronic security market.
• Increase sales of intrusion detection, perimeter protection and sensing solutions.
• Understand territory dynamics: key customers, competitors, projects and opportunities.
• Build account plans for strategically important customers and prospects.
• Maintain regular customer meetings, site visits, product demonstrations and reviews.
