Job summary

The Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club in Warwickshire, near Birmingham, is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team. You will help manage day-to-day operations and ensure food is prepared and plated to the highest quality.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will develop dishes, mentor junior chefs, and uphold food safety, hygiene and guest satisfaction while contributing to cost control and menu innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-end hospitality venues.
• Ability to develop menus and recipes.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes within your specialty.
• Support, mentor and train junior chefs in the brigade.
• Ensure cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety standards.
