Job summary

Marston’s PLC in Scotland is seeking a Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen, leading by example and ensuring hot, quality food presented to the pass.

You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, running the line during service, assisting with all aspects of kitchen operations, and helping to develop the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded kitchen or similar role (e.g., Commis Chef).
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Run the line during service and maintain pace and quality.
• Lead and develop kitchen team and skills.
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills.
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service.
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
