Job summary

Marston’s PLC is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our pub kitchen in Scotland. You’ll be right in the action as second in command to the Head Chef, stepping in during shifts to keep service running smoothly.

You’ll lead a team, manage the line during busy periods, and help develop the skills of your kitchen staff while ensuring hot, high-quality food is presented to the pass every time.

Qualifications

• Previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team and skills.
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Lead kitchen operations and ensure smooth service during peak times.
• Support the Head Chef with menu execution and quality control.
• Coach and develop kitchen staff to enhance skills and performance.
