Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to join our bustling kitchen. You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, taking responsibility for the line during service and ensuring hot, high-quality dishes reach the pass every time.

You’ll oversee and develop the kitchen team, promote branded experience, and uphold the highest standards of food and service while enjoying a supportive path for growth within our award-winning pub group.

Qualifications

• Branded kitchen experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef is required.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise and develop the kitchen team’s skills.
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

• Be in action in the kitchen, second in command to Head Chef.
• Cover Head Chef when they’re not on shift.
• Run the line during service and ensure quality output.
• Support team development and skills improvement.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and service.
