Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to join our team in a vibrant pub kitchen. You’ll be in the thick of the action, directly supporting the Head Chef, and stepping in when needed to keep service smooth.

You’ll lead the kitchen during service, help manage all aspects of operations, and drive high standards of food and guest service in every shift. An ideal candidate has branded experience or a background as a Commis Chef and a passion for developing a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef is desirable.
• Ability to manage all aspects of the kitchen under the Head Chef.
• Capable of running the line during service and ensuring quality.
• Ability to develop and support the kitchen team.
• Commitment to high standards of food and service.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team and develop their skills.
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service.
