Cornwall Staff Agency Ltd in Falmouth is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join a professional kitchen team. You will work alongside the Head Chef to lead the kitchen, maintain high food standards and deliver excellent service in a venue known for pizzas, small plates and elevated dining.

Ideal candidates will have professional kitchen experience, strong teamwork, good food safety knowledge and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous professional kitchen experience, ideally at Sous Chef level.
• Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergen procedures.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
• Assist with menu development and new dishes.
• Lead, support and train kitchen team members.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and allergen safety.
• Assist with ordering, stock control, food costs and waste reduction.
• Work closely with front-of-house to ensure a positive guest experience.
