Chefs for Chefs LTD is recruiting a Sous Chef to join a busy, family-friendly pub in Meanwood, Leeds. You will work closely with the Head Chef to run the kitchen, lead the brigade and maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation and service.

You’ll have the chance to contribute to menu development and seasonal specials, with support from a marketing team to bring ideas to life. The brigade currently includes a Head Chef, Sous Chef, CDPs and kitchen porters.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef, or ready to step up.
• Confident leading a team and setting an example.
• Enjoys cooking fresh food and quality pub classics.
• Thrives in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and no-ego approach.
• Understands the importance of consistency, teamwork and cost control.
• Wants to contribute ideas and develop their career within a growing business.

Responsabilités

• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Lead and motivate the team during service
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
• Contribute to menu development and create seasonal specials
• Assist with food costing, stock control and ordering
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen organisation
• Help train and develop junior members of the brigade
• Work collaboratively to deliver an excellent guest experience
