Job summary

Cortillo Lounge, part of Loungers plc, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll lead shifts, back up the Head Chef and ensure every dish meets bold standards. A 48-hour contract is offered with a 40-hour option, plus real progression opportunities across our growing brand.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie ready for next step.
• Proven ability to lead kitchen shifts and deliver consistent quality.
• Strong prep, stock control, waste management and handover routines.
• Effective coaching and support for the team to develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and stand in during absence.
• Set high standards on the pass for quality, pace, hygiene and safety.
• Own key routines: prep, par, stock, waste, orders, handovers.
• Coach and develop chefs to deliver great food each shift.
