Job summary

Buckland Manor, one of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and work with the Head Chef to run a busy kitchen. You will create exciting dishes for our guests and support the team in delivering exceptional service.

We are looking for someone with experience in similar environments, strong allergen training, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment and kitchen operations.
• Up-to-date allergen training and food safety practices.
• Ability to lead a kitchen team and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to run a busy kitchen and create dishes.
• Ensure allergen matrices are up to date and food is labeled correctly.
• Mentor junior chefs and supervise kitchen operations in Head Chef's absence.
• Manage ordering and inventory to avoid shortages.
