Job summary

Butcombe Boutique Inns in the UK are seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join a bustling kitchen and deliver memorable dining experiences across some of the country’s most picturesque locations.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth, safe kitchen operations, lead in the Head Chef's absence and mentor the team while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Supporting with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coaching and mentoring chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Helping to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Playing a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
