Job summary

Marston’s PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sous Chef to join its kitchen team. You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, leading by example to deliver hot, quality food that the team can be proud of at every service.

You’ll run the line during busy periods, help manage the kitchen, supervise and develop staff, and drive high standards of food and service. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities to progress within the award-winning pub company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team and develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Be second in command to Head Chef, stepping up when they’re not on shift.
• Run the kitchen line during service and ensure smooth operation.
• Support Head Chef in managing all kitchen activities.
• Develop and motivate the kitchen team while maintaining high standards.
