Job summary

Marston’s PLC in our local pubs is seeking a Sous Chef to join our team. You’ll be right in the action, second in command to the Head Chef, stepping up when they’re away and ensuring hot, quality dishes reach the pass every service.

You’ll support the Head Chef across all kitchen operations, run the line during service, mentor the kitchen team, and uphold the high food and service standards we’re proud of. We offer a supportive pathway and a range of staff benefits to help your career grow.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Be second in command to Head Chef and cover when they’re not on shift.
• Run the line during service to maintain speed and quality.
• Help develop kitchen staff and skills.
