Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is partnered with a beautiful country house hotel in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, inviting a Sous Chef to join the kitchen leadership team. The role offers a 39-hour week, no split shifts, staff live-in accommodation, and a strong bonus/benefits package with opportunities for development.

You will work closely with the Head Chef in a busy hotel kitchen serving 60–70 covers daily and supporting weddings/events up to 200 guests.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a hotel environment.
• Strong organisational and stock management skills.
• Procure Wizard knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team and assist with rotas in Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure high-quality food in line with brand standards and spec sheets.
• Develop seasonal menus and maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and company policies.
