Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Head Chef for a charming country hotel in Herefordshire countryside. You will lead a talented kitchen team and work alongside an Executive Chef across two properties, delivering flavour-driven, seasonal menus.

The role suits an experienced Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step, with a five-day week and shared live-in accommodation available if required. Salary £40,000.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a kitchen brigade.
• Experience in developing menus and seasonal dishes.
• Commercial awareness and ability to control costs while maintaining quality.
• Calm under pressure and capable of leading a team during service.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for day-to-day kitchen operations and lead the brigade.
• Put your stamp on the food offering with support from senior leadership.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and seasonal dishes.
• Manage food costs, GP targets, stock control, and ordering.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality and presentation.
• Ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
• Train, develop, and motivate junior team members.
• Drive consistency across all kitchen areas during busy service.
