Job summary

Maybourne Hotel Group’s Claridge’s in London seeks an exceptional Sous Chef to lead in the Main Kitchen. You will work alongside talented chefs to maintain precision and creativity, elevating guest dining with outstanding cuisine and flawless service.

Successful candidates will have experience in five-star or fine dining environments, strong leadership, and the ability to manage during peak service while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef within a five-star or fine dining environment.
• Be confident in leading, supporting and motivating a team.
• Be skilled at managing service flow and stepping in to support during busy periods.
• Provide intuitive service, with an absolute understanding of our guests' needs to create exceptional service experiences that result in lasting memories.
• Be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
• Have a thorough understanding of Forbes and LQA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of ingredients for and during service, working alongside the Junior Sous Chefs.
• Manage and support a team of Commis Chefs, Demi Chef de Parties and Chef de Parties on the section.
• Ensure that the highest standards are maintained in the preparation of food.
• Support the rest of the kitchen team during service to ensure a smooth operation.
• Maintain a positive relationship with the kitchen and front of house team.
• Coach and develop the junior members of the team for future succession.
