Job summary

People Providers in Cromer is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the dinner service and ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented. You will assist senior chefs with menu development and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen during busy service periods.

Responsibilities include cooking, stock rotation, health and safety compliance, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. Training and progression opportunities exist within a dynamic hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Basic technique, seasonality knowledge and menu understanding are required.
• Ability to run kitchen briefings and lead small sections.
• Experience with health & safety practices in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes, including fish and meat.
• Assist senior chefs with menu items, recipes and development.
• Support health & safety and food hygiene practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Be punctual and work well under pressure.
• Follow recipes and service chef directions at all times.
• Label correctly and manage stock rotation.
