Butcombe Pubs & Inns in the West of England is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll work alongside the Head Chef to deliver outstanding dishes in stunning pub locations.

In this role you’ll lead food prep, maintain quality, mentor junior chefs, manage stock and support day-to-day kitchen operations while upholding high standards of safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Looking for a passionate Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen.
• You will work alongside the Head Chef to ensure smooth, safe kitchen operations.
• Aiming to deliver high-quality, well-presented dishes across the menu.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Supporting with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coaching and mentoring chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Helping to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Playing a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
