Job summary

Sanders Senior Living is seeking a Sous Chef to join our Hospitality team in the UK. You will deliver hotel and restaurant standard meals in a care home environment, without split shifts or long hours, and support the Head Chef as needed.

You will have Food Hygiene Level 2 and ideally NVQ Level 2, with a focus on quality, portion control, and meeting residents’ dietary requirements. The role emphasises professional development and continuous learning within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in catering (preferred).
• Food Hygiene Level 2 required/advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standards of food preparation.
• Cook and serve meals according to menu and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Hygiene regulations.
• Maintain quality of meals in presentation and taste.
• Monitor portion control to minimise waste.
• Meet dietary requirements by following quantities, charts, and recipes.
• Supervise and deputise for Head Chef when required.
