Job summary

Runwood Homes Ltd is recruiting a Second Chef to join our Hospitality team in England. You will support the Head Chef, deliver hotel and restaurant standard meals for residents, and uphold high-quality service with a focus on person-centred hospitality.

You will have relevant catering experience, a solid understanding of dietary needs, and hold Food Hygiene Level 2 (NVQ Level 2 preferred). The role emphasises quality and standards in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering settings.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and nutrition.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is required and NVQ Level 2 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food preparation for residents.
• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
• Maintain quality of meals in presentation and taste.
• Manage portion control and minimise waste.
• Meet individual dietary requirements by following charts/recipes or adapting dishes.
• Deputise for the Head Chef when required.
