Job summary

Sanders Senior Living is seeking a warm and motivated Sous Chef to join our Hospitality team on-site. Deliver hotel and restaurant-standard meals to residents while respecting dietary needs, supporting the Head Chef, and stepping in when required.

You will maintain high food safety standards, manage portion control, monitor stock, and contribute to a person-centred dining experience for residents. On-site role with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a catering environment.
• Understanding of dietary and nutritional requirements for residents.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 and ideally NVQ Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to high standards in line with the menu and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
• Maintain portion control and minimise waste.
• Meet individual dietary requirements using charts and recipes.
• Monitor stock, rotation, and place orders as needed.
• Deputise for Head Chef when required.
