Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Second Chef to join its Hospitality team. The role focuses on delivering hotel and restaurant-standard meals for residents, without split shifts. You will support the Head Chef and may deputise in their absence.

You should bring catering experience, a solid understanding of dietary needs, and Food Hygiene Level 2. NVQ Level 2 is preferred; training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Level 2.
• NVQ Level 2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and lead kitchen tasks in their absence.
• Prepare and cook meals to high standards for residents.
• Ensure meals meet dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Maintain food safety, hygienic handling and portion control.
• Monitor stock and rotate goods to minimise waste.
• Adhere to menus and Company guidelines.
