Job summary

Oakland Care in Hildenborough is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art kitchen within our care home. You will help deliver high-standard, nutritious meals ensuring residents enjoy exceptional dining experiences and staff teamwork remains strong.

With at least two years of catering experience, you will follow food regs and dietary requirements, contribute to menu planning, and support personal development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of catering experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of food regulations, therapeutic diets and textured diets.

Responsibilities

• Delivering an excellent food service at all times.
• Following care and support plans to meet nutritional needs of residents.
• Preparing nutritious snacks as requested by the General Manager.
• Ensuring all prepared food is high-quality, flavoursome and well presented.
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Managing stock control, including ordering and replenishment.
