Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Sous Chef in Reigate to support the Head Chef in a busy, premium kitchen. You will ensure every dish is nutritious and restaurant-quality, while guiding the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef with mentorship and hands-on leadership.

You will contribute to menu development with creativity and passion, bringing a calm, proactive approach to a high-volume environment in a luxury care setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in a kitchen is preferred.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services required.
• Supervisory experience and COSHH awareness are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as second in command to the Head Chef and ensure meals are nutritious and restaurant-quality.
• Develop and support Chef de Partie and Commis Chef with leadership and coaching.
• Assist the Head Chef in reviewing and updating the menu with creativity and passion.
