Job summary

St Austell Brewery’s Rose & Crown in Yealmpton invites a motivated Sous Chef to join a busy, guest-focused kitchen. You will work alongside a skilled team, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining high-quality dishes using locally sourced produce.

You’ll support the Head Chef, help shape daily menus, and adapt to guest needs during service. A passion for food, teamwork, and flexibility are essential virtues for success in this role.

Set in the beautiful village of Yealmpton, The Rose & Crown is a much-loved pub with accommodation that’s renowned for its food, cosy interior, and suntrap walled garden.

You’ll be working in the South Hams, largely an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is abundant with magnificent scenery. You’ll find breathtaking beaches, quality local food, history, culture, and enchanting woodland all moments away.

Are you a versatile Sous Chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, with locally sourced produce, to provide high quality food that delights our guests. As Sous Chef, you will support your Head Chef in leading our talented kitchen team while ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met. You will utilise the flexibility enabled by our menu writing processes, to help adapt our offer to meet the needs of our business and our guests.
