Job summary

Anglian Country Inns is seeking a confident Sous Chef to be the main support for the kitchen. You will drive standards, develop the team, and support the Head Chef in running a busy kitchen. A strong, organised approach and a positive attitude are essential to deliver consistent results with a smile.

Salary ranges 38,000–40,000 GBP with tips and bonuses, plus staff benefits including accommodation, meals, gym, and progression opportunities across our nine East Anglia venues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef preferred.

• Lead your section and support the Head Chef to run the kitchen.
• Communicate regularly with your Head Chef and team.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

You are the go to person in the kitchen, supporting your Head Chef to run the team and look towards running your own kitchen. • Keep your team and guests safe at all times by ensuring the correct control measures are in place
• Drive standards and knowledge to create food Wow moments
• Champion your section and the ACI Food Journey to exceed our guests' expectations
• Communicate regularly and appropriately with your Head Chef
• Build and maintain relationships with our suppliers
• Take lead in planning key dates and events
• Communicate positively with the team
• Being a great role model and setting the standards for our guests and team
• Displaying the ACI values each and every day and working towards our company mission of 'making people happy'
• Salary ranging from 38,000 - 40,000 (plus tips and bonus) dependant on experience.
