Job summary

Anglian Country Inns is seeking a Breakfast Sous to support a busy kitchen and drive daily standards. You will help manage orders, set daily function sheets, assist rota building and ensure a seamless operation from 7am to 3pm, seven days a week availability.

You’ll support your Sous and Head Chef to lead the team and model our values while delivering consistently high standards for guests. The role emphasises responsibility, great organisation, and a positive attitude as we aim to make guests

Qualifications

• Experience as Breakfast Sous or in a kitchen leadership role.
• Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Ability to manage orders, rota planning and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct control measures in the kitchen at all times.
• Drive standards to create food Wow moments for guests.
• Lead your section in the absence of the Sous or Head Chef.
• Communicate with Sous and Head Chef to maintain a smooth service.
• Assist in planning key dates and events and maintain supplier relations.

You will set the platform for the business every day to ensure success - ensure orders are managed and put away, all function sheets are set for the day ahead, assist in rota building and overall ensure a seamless daily operation. Supporting your Sous and Head Chef to run the team and look towards the senior side of the kitchen. Our kitchens are busy places so a level head, great organisation, delivered every time, with a smile, is the key to success.

This is a typical 7am - 3pm shift pattern with, Monday - Sunday availability required.

• Champion your section and the ACI Food Journey to exceed our guests’ expectations
• Communicate regularly and appropriately with your Sous and Head Chef
• Take a lead in the kitchen in the absence of your Sous or Head Chef
• Build and maintain relationships with our suppliers
• Assist in planning key dates and events
• Communicate positively with the team
• Being a great role model and setting the standards for our guests and team
