Job summary

Mitchells & Butler's Castle Pubs is recruiting a Sous Chef who will lead a kitchen section, train the team, and step up in the Head Chef's absence. The role focuses on delivering high-quality dishes to brand standards and maintaining a cohesive kitchen operation.

You'll work with a branded menu, manage food ordering and stock, and drive hygiene and safety across the team. Join a company offering strong development opportunities and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or senior prep chef in busy branded pubs or restaurants.
• Ability to train and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead your section and ensure the team works together as one.
• Support the Head Chef with food ordering, prep, and stock control.
• Maintain health and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with branded menu and portioning.
• Mentor Chefs and wider kitchen team for consistent performance.
• Oversee that your team meets safety and food safety regulations.
