Job summary

Lyttelton Arms is recruiting a Sous Chef to lead a section, train staff and step up in the Head Chef's absence. This role sits within Premium Country Pubs, part of Mitchells & Butlers, offering onsite accommodation and progression opportunities.

You will be responsible for driving targets with your team, managing food preparation, stock, and working with a branded menu while ensuring health and hygiene standards across the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy restaurant.
• Passion for training staff and delivering high food standards.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Master the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
