Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Sous Chef for the Trent Lock within Vintage Inns. You will run a section, train and motivate the team, and stand in for the Head Chef when needed. This role sits at one of our Rustic pubs known for warm atmosphere and great food.

Join us at Vintage Inns, a charming collection of rural pubs. You’ll help deliver consistent branded menus, manage stock and food orders, and lead by example to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior chef in a branded kitchen.
• Ability to train and lead kitchen team.
• Experience with stock ordering and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
