Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is assisting an award-winning restaurant in the Kingham area of Oxfordshire to recruit a Sous Chef to work beside the Head Chef in a busy, fine dining kitchen. The role is 48 hours per week with live-in accommodation available.

Salary up to £42k plus £5k tips (£47k package) and healthcare support. You will lead junior chefs, cook with fresh produce, and have opportunities for promotion from CDP or Junior Sous Chef.

Qualifications

• You will already be a Sous Chef or a strong CDP or Junior Sous Chef looking for promotion.
• Experience managing junior staff is desirable.
• Experience cooking with fresh, local ingredients at high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop junior chefs in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Prepare meals to multi AA rosette level using fresh ingredients.
• Support Head Chef in running lunch and dinner service.

A Fantastic opportunity had arisen at our client based in the Kingham area of Oxfordshire for a Sous Chef to work in the kitchen of their award winning Fine Dining pub & Restaurant.This is a key role in the kitchen as you will support the Head Chef in preparing meals for lunch and dinner service. This is a fantastic Sous Chef opportunity with a great kitchen that has won awards and recognition for its food. The role is 48 hours a week and live in can be provided.

• Salary to £42k plus 5k tips = £47k package

The Role

• Working in the award winning kitchen using fresh, local & seasonal produce to cook fot multi AA rosette level
• Encouraging and managing the Junior Chefs
• Preparing meals using fresh ingredients on a daily basis. All dishes made on site daily

The Person

• You will already be a Sous Chef or a strong CDP or Junior Sous Chef looking for promotion.
• Able to work unsupervised and have strong management skills
• Experience of working in fresh food kitchens ideally to 2AA rosette level or higher
• Highly motivated and focused. Positive can do attitude
