Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group is seeking a experienced Sous Chef for an Italian wine bar in Northallerton. You will support the Kitchen Manager with day-to-day running, ensuring food quality, consistency and hygiene, in a small team of 3–4.

This permanent, full-time role offers 48 hours per week and a salary of £33,000 per year with tron on top. You will lead service in the Kitchen Manager's absence and assist with stock, orders and deliveries to company standards.

Sous Chef - Italian Wine Bar - Northallerton

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to join the team at a branded Italian wine barin Northallerton. As Sous Chef you will support the Kitchen Manager with the day to day running of the kitchen, making sure standards of food quality, consistency and hygiene are maintained at all times. The Sous Chef will work within a small team of 3 to 4 and will take charge of service in the Kitchen Manager's absence, as well as assisting with stock control, orders, and deliveries in line with company procedures.

As Sous Chef you will be organised, hands on and operationally strong, with a good working knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP. The ideal Sous Chef will be confident leading a service, able to keep a small team calm and consistent through busy weekends and evenings, and comfortable with fresh preparation to recipe and menu specification. This is a genuine opportunity for a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous to step into a kitchen with real responsibility.
