Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited in Northallerton seeks an experienced Sous Chef for a branded Italian wine bar. The role is permanent and full-time, offering £33,000 per year plus tronc, with a 48-hour week and a small brigade.

You will support the Kitchen Manager with daily operations, ensure food quality, consistency and hygiene, and take charge of service in the manager's absence; assist with stock, orders and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef in a branded Italian wine bar or similar.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
• Ability to lead service in Kitchen Manager's absence.
• Hands-on and operationally strong with good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support Kitchen Manager with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food quality, consistency and hygiene standards.
