An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Sous to take the reins of the kitchen at this beautifully refurbished village food led pub situated in a picturesque village, just outside Carlisle. Staff accommodation is available.

Nestled in the heart of this charming Cumbrian village, the country inn is a wonderful country pub combining traditional character with a fresh, welcoming feel.

Recently refurbished, the pub boasts warm and inviting interiors, cosy log burners, comfortable bar and dining areas, and a spacious upstairs dining room. With its lovely countryside setting and relaxed, friendly atmosphere, it is the perfect place for locals and visitors alike to enjoy great food and genuine hospitality.

They are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and hands‑on Sous Chef who is passionate about producing excellent food using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef who has responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, leading your team from the front and ensuring consistently high standards across every aspect of the food operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with seasonal menus showcasing fresh, quality ingredients.
