Job summary

Wonderful Ness, part of Hall & Woodhouse's West Region, seeks an experienced Sous Chef to join a kitchen leadership team at a Grade II listed inn on the South West Coast Path. The role focuses on delivering great food, consistent service and a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.

You'll work five days with predictable hours, earn £14.50 per hour plus tips, and enjoy 60% off meals, uniform and kitchen shoes, plus pathways to Head Chef and Level 3 apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Experienced chef with supervisory duties.
• Ability to cook a range of techniques to high standard.
• Familiar with kitchen equipment and workflows.
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergen handling.
• Proactive team player with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead service during peak times and cover shifts as needed.
• Follow central specs for cooking and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and allergen rules.
• Support development and training opportunities, including apprenticeships.

And it’s location, on the South West Coast Path, provides stunning views over the Teign Estuary.
