Job summary

Chef Results Limited is recruiting a talented Sous Chef for a flagship pub set in picturesque countryside near Clitheroe. The busy kitchen handles all-day dining and Sunday lunches with semi-branded menus.

You will lead a motivated team of 12 cooks, work closely with the head chef, own food standards, and have autonomy over specials on seasonal menus. This is a permanent role with progression opportunities; eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Recent experience at Junior Sous or Sous Chef level.
• Experience in fresh food volume pubs or restaurants.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work to deadlines.
• Able to remain calm under pressure in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Own and uphold the quality and standards of the food.
• Work closely with the head chef and a team of 12 chefs to ensure smooth service and up-to-date kitchen paperwork.

Job description

The Exec Chef of a group of pubs is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the group at one of its flagship pubs in a beautiful countryside setting near Clitheroe. The pub is very busy with a high turnover, offering all day dining and Sunday lunch of which the menus are semi branded. They require a Sous Chef that can take ownership of the the food and maintain the standards that are expected by the locals and visitors that return regularly due to the pubs good reputation in the area. TheSous Chef will need to work closely with the head chef and motivated team of 12 chefs to ensure service times run smoothly and the kitchen paperwork is all up to date. The seasonally changing semi branded fresh food menus consist of favourite pub dishes and as Sous chef you will have a good degree of autonomy on the specials.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will have recently been working at either Junior Sous or Sous Chef level and have experience of fresh food volume pubs or restaurants. A Chef that is a good leader, a forward thinker, able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure is essential for this role.
