Job summary

JW Lees is seeking a Sous Chef to join the talented kitchen team. You will lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, support menu development and maintain a safe, compliant kitchen.

You’ll mentor junior staff, uphold high standards and help the team deliver fresh, quality dishes. There are strong development opportunities and a supportive, family-owned business culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen and sous chef duties.
• Able to lead in Head Chef's absence and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to high standards and 5* service scores.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Support with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen.
• Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members.
• Ensure that high standards and attention to detail are maintained, working with the team to achieve and maintain 5* Scores on the doors.
• Continuously motivate the team to ensure fresh quality food is presented.
• Play an integral role in training and development of junior team members.
