Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC's Red Lion, part of Vintage Inns, is looking for a Sous Chef who loves great food, trains people well and leaves guests with a smile. You’ll lead a section, mentor your team, and step in for the Head Chef when needed, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and consistently.

You’ll work in a warm, pub‑style environment with roaring fires and traditional dishes, delivering quality meals to guests and maintaining high hygiene standards across the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team.
• Experience in a branded menu environment.
• Excellent communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Assist Head Chef with food ordering, prep, and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards.
• Oversee that the team works to a branded menu.
