The Botanist Chester is recruiting a Sous Chef to join their kitchen leadership team. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional food and maintain a high-performing kitchen culture. You will lead by example, develop your team and ensure every service is delivered with consistency, quality and care.

The role focuses on supporting day-to-day kitchen leadership, maintaining quality standards, coaching staff, and upholding food safety and cost controls to help the venue thrive.

We're looking for Sous Chefs who are passionate about great food, strong teamwork and creating memorable dining experiences.

At The Botanist Chester, you'll be a key part of the kitchen leadership team, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food while maintaining a positive and high-performing kitchen culture.

You’ll lead by example, support the development of your team and help ensure every service is delivered with consistency, quality and care.

• Coaching and developing kitchen team members
• Supporting stock control and food cost management
• Maintaining food safety and compliance standards
• Delivering smooth and successful services
• Helping create a positive and collaborative kitchen environment

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong culinary skills with a passion for leadership and teamwork.

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie is desirable.
