Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing across IT/Technology categories, delivering value, reducing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role is hybrid with around 8 days per month in our Leeds/Bradford offices.

You will partner with stakeholders, manage supplier onboarding, conduct contract reviews, and drive TCO improvements while upholding third-party risk policies and FS regulations.

Qualifications

• Strategic sourcing or category management experience.
• Experience across IT/ Tech categories.
• Strong understanding of supplier risk, FS regulations, third-party risk management, and supplier markets.
• Confident stakeholder engagement and strong negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to deliver procurement savings and commercial benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual expertise across supplier onboarding, risk assessments, performance issues, benchmarking and rate card reviews.

• Manage Procurement engagement requirements, ensuring clarity on total cost of ownership (TCO) and adherence to thirdparty risk policies.
• Support contract governance, ensuring accurate storage, summaries and compliance with signing mandates.

We’re looking for a Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing activity across IT/ Technology categories here at YBS. You’ll deliver highquality commercial outcomes, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure full compliance with procurement and regulatory standards.

This is a hybrid role, a mix of working from home plus time in our central Leeds & Bradford offices (approx 8 days per month).

About the role

As Sourcing Manager, you will -

• Lead sourcing projects that deliver value, reduce risk, and align with YBS policies and strategy

• Partner with stakeholders to identify efficiencies using market insight and benchmarking

• Provide commercial and contractual expertise across supplier onboarding, risk assessments, performance issues, benchmarking and rate card reviews

• Conduct contract reviews to ensure strong commercial controls and risk management

You'll have a proven track record as a Sourcing Manager/ Procurement Manager/ Category Manager. What will you bring to the role?

• Experience across IT/ Tech categories

• Strong understanding of supplier risk, FS regulations thirdparty risk management, and supplier markets

• Confident stakeholder engagement and strong negotiation skills

• Proven ability to deliver procurement savings and commercial benefits.

• Knowledge of FS industry is desirable
