Job summary

Benenden Health is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager in York with hybrid working. You will lead end-to-end procurement across spend categories, influencing stakeholders and delivering value beyond transactional buying.

You'll develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts with Legal colleagues, and provide expert market analysis to realise savings and risk management. This role offers a strategic partnership within a member-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Procurement Manager, Category Manager or Senior Buyer role.
• Ability to influence decisions and build stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract structures and supplier risk.
• Experience delivering savings, benefits realisation and commercial outcomes.
• CIPS qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

Location: York (Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office)

As Benenden Health continues to grow and evolve, we're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to help shape the strategic decisions, supplier relationships and commercial outcomes that will support our future ambitions.

This isn't a transactional purchasing role. You'll work across a diverse range of categories, partnering with stakeholders at every level of the organisation, including senior leaders, to deliver procurement solutions that drive value, manage risk and support business growth.

With exposure across the organisation, you'll lead complex procurement activity, influence key decisions and provide expert commercial advice throughout the sourcing lifecycle. Working closely with our Commercial Solicitors, you'll negotiate supplier agreements, develop robust contracts and help ensure the best outcomes for the business and our members.
