Job summary

Intercom is seeking a transformational Solutions Engineering leader to head our SE organization in the EMEA region. You will shape GTM, recruit and mentor a high‑performing team, and lead strategic deals for globe‑spanning customers using Intercom’s AI‑first platform.

Your role blends strategy with hands‑on execution, collaborating with Sales, Product, Marketing and R&D to deliver customer value, craft verticalised solutions, PoCs, and scalable playbooks across complex enterprises.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre‑sales experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer/Architect, or related role.
• 3+ years leading technical pre‑sales teams with hiring and mentoring experience.
• Ideally experience selling AI, data, or highly technical products.
• Able to travel internationally on average once a month.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the strategic vision and GTM for the Solutions Engineering function.
• Lead, coach, and scale a high‑performing SE team across regions and verticals.
• Engage in strategic deals while developing team capabilities as a player‑coach.
• Provide technical guidance, architecture demos, and product evaluations to support six‑figure sales cycles.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and executive contact for large customers.
