Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Solution Design Manager to turn customer challenges into practical, scalable and commercially viable solutions. You will lead design workstreams from concepts through detailed design, costing, risk management and implementation support, with a focus on aviation/travel or defence domains.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical problem-solving and ability to interpret complex data.
• Understanding of how warehouse/logistics operations work (flow, capacity, labour, service, cost).
• Experience in designing/operating/improving complex logistics processes or technology.
• Commercial awareness balancing customer, operational and financial needs.
• Clear communication and stakeholder influence; present recommendations and challenge assumptions.
• Ownership of multiple workstreams and transparency of risks and decisions.
• Curiosity about automation and emerging technologies with practical delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple solution design workstreams from concept to implementation support.
• Analyze data, flows, demand, capacity and constraints to define design options.
• Develop end-to-end warehouse and supply chain solutions for existing facilities and new builds.
• Create layouts, resource and productivity models, processes and costings.
• Test designs via sensitivity analysis and benchmarking to stay robust.
• Collaborate with BD, Ops, IT, Procurement, Finance, and customers to align on solutions.
• Explain findings clearly and secure operational and commercial buy-in.
• Support implementation teams and share knowledge through peer review.
