Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a dedicated Solar Field Service Technician to support preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV plants. The role involves field work at customer sites, adherence to safety standards, and routine inspections of inverters and related equipment.

Qualifications

6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience or completion of ACT Apprentice program.
QEW sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Ability to read and interpret drawings including fuses, breakers, and BoS equipment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do.
Assist in preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities.
Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
Conduct vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly checks.
Log data, maintain reports and safety paperwork, and manage spare parts inventory.
Initiate warranty claims with vendors/OEMs as needed.
Travel to other sites as required by operations.
