The Technician(Solar) role is field-based, performing operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar PV plants and battery storage systems. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified electrician with HV/DC competency and a willingness to participate in weekend on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fully qualified electrician with MW-scale power plants.
• Knowledge of AC, DC, SCADA, instrumentation and communications networks.
• Willingness to work weekends on-call and overtime as part of rota.
• Strong background in solar PV technology and battery storage is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements and improve safety standards across plants.
• Achieve Authorised Person status as trained and required.
• Undertake planned inspection and maintenance per requirements.
• Inspect, test and maintain plant and equipment.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC systems and networks including RS485 and fibre.
