Job summary

Bluefield Partners LLP is seeking a Field Service Engineer to attend customer sites across the Southampton/Bournemouth/Weymouth area, maintaining various ground-mounted solar PV systems and performing routine maintenance and testing.

Role emphasizes health and safety, adherence to site method statements, and use of CMMS/reporting tools. Strong inverter knowledge and 3+ years’ PV O&M experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Solar PV O&M experience on utility scale.
• Experience with network diagnostics and remote communications.
• Understanding of LV/HV planned maintenance to G59/G99.
• Familiarity with earthing systems and monitoring relays.
• Good knowledge of central/string inverters and manufacturers training.
• Strong computer skills and CMMS usage.
• Knowledge of power electronics and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance, testing and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance as per plans.
• Coordinate third party contractors and ensure H&S compliance.
• Record electrical testing data suitable for audits.
• Report activities daily via CMMS or manual reports.
