Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby seeks a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer for the Submarines programme, focusing on integration, test, and validation of complex software and hardware. The role requires close collaboration with software, hardware, and safety teams on FPGA and DOORS-based verification.

You will develop test plans, perform LRU testing, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to security and development processes. A UK national security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with FPGA-based integration.
• Ability to validate complex subsystems.
• Willingness to obtain UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop test documentation and automated scripts.
• Perform LRU level testing and environmental tests.
• Create automated tests for FPGA designs and DOORS mapping.
• Investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain change control and traceability to design requirements.
• Assist audits, design reviews and verification activities.
• Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, FPGA and safety teams.
